For the past two years, I’ve written every piece of copy and marketing content for a bespoke management consultancy in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Below are a few examples of the wide range of writing, editing, and creating I’ve done.
The first section is a video/visual series, followed by examples of newsletter campaigns I sent every week, and finally a link to the podcast series I started, edited, and eventually hosted.
Client Stories
This visual series began with a comprehensive reimagining of August’s brand and voice. The voice, style, illustrations, color scheme, and language became August’s foundational brand identity. These elements are now heavily used in sales, original client content creation, marketing, recruiting, and any public promotion (e.g. conferences, seminars, sponsorships). I helped create the brand identity and used it to write and direct three client story videos.
Purpose: By describing real client stories using genuine problems, hopes, & goals and the actual solutions August implemented to support the clients’ successes, we connect with individuals who view themselves in the narrative - “Hey… that’s me. Those are my problems, too.” Potential clients will identify August as a new type of consultancy they need while existing clients will use the videos to champion their success and convince other departments that this is the change they need, too.
Newsletters & Campaigns
August’s weekly newsletter began as a list of links to interesting articles. I leveraged the brand identity I co-created to transform the newsletter into a purpose-driven campaign with tangible guidance for folks to use August’s practices on their own, tomorrow.
Purpose: Foster the August community and uphold August’s value of transparency by providing useful tools, techniques & practices anyone could implement at any time to make their working lives better.

Podcast Series
I began directing & editing this podcast then moved to hosting, scheduling, directing, and editing Emergent Agenda in its entirety.
Purpose: A podcast series about August to familiarize our clients & fans with who we are and what makes us different from other typical management consultancies.
